Setting up the VPN connection in Mac OSX Older Versions

PPTP SETUP

1. Go to "Applications" and double click on the "Internet Connect" icon.

2. Click on "File" and select "New VPN Connection Window".

3. Select "PPTP" and click "Continue".

4. Click on the "Other" dropdown and select "Edit Configurations".

5. In the VPN Configuration window, enter the information that was sent to you in the welcome email:

- In the "Description" field, type a description like Cienen.com

- In the "Server Address" field, enter the server IP address.

- The "Account Name" is your Cienen account Username.

- The "Password" is your Cienen account Password.

6. Click on the "OK" button.

7. Finished! Double click on "Internet Connect", from the menu click the VPN connection name and then click "Connect".

L2TP SETUP

1. Go to "Applications" and double click on the "Internet Connect" icon.

2. Click on "File" and select "New VPN Connection Window".

3. Select "L2TP over IPSec" and click "Continue".

4. Click on the "Other" dropdown and select "Edit Configurations".

5. In the VPN Configuration window, enter the information that was sent to you in the welcome email:

- In the "Description" field, type a description like Cienen.com

- In the "Server Address" field, enter the server IP address.

- The "Account Name" is your Cienen account Username.

- The "Password" is your Cienen account Password.

- For "Shared Secret" enter the Pre-Shared key that was sent to you in the welcome email.

6. Click on the "OK" button.

7. Finished! Double click on "Internet Connect", from the menu click the VPN connection name and then click "Connect".
